Gustaf Sundberg
Senior ML Engineer – Dagg AIMy Interest in Programming
My passion for programming started early, driven by an innate curiosity about how computers worked and what they could be made to do. At the age of 8, I began exploring code on a Commodore 64, working through the bundled programming books that came with it. This sparked a fascination with problem-solving and logic that would shape my path. By 14, I had moved on to an Amiga 500+, where I delved into 68000 Assembly, deepening my understanding of low-level systems and machine architecture. At 16, my first PC introduced me to C++, opening up entirely new possibilities for software development. My university years expanded this foundation further as I engaged with UNIX and Ada, refining my ability to work across different paradigms and environments. I have always been a self-driven learner, and I'm not afraid to rush into new things.
AI & Machine Learning
I became acquainted with AI and machine learning in 2017 through a Nvidia training which was organized by my company. The last four years I have led an AI team developing prototypes or proof-of-concepts in areas such as computer vision, generative AI, reinforcement learning, and deep learning with PyTorch. One of my most impactful projects was developing a Deep Neural Network for measuring moisture levels, capable of exceeding accuracy for 50 different food items. I like all the aspects of AI and enjoy working on problem solving.
Work Culture
For me, programming is not just about writing code—it's about continuous learning, problem-solving, and sharing knowledge. I thrive in environments where expertise is freely exchanged, where collaboration fuels innovation, and where people challenge each other to improve. At Dagg AI, I've found exactly that: a fast-paced workplace where management provides strong support, ensuring that every team member has the tools and autonomy to succeed. It's a place where we don't just adapt to change—we drive it.
Tasks Accomplished
Since joining Dagg AI, I've had the opportunity to work on projects that push the boundaries of AI system design. I like to design quick prototypes and refine them if they work well.
Life Outside Work
Beyond coding, I find balance in competitive pinball and downhill skiing. Downhill skiing is a good way of spending time with my family.
Embarking on a Shared Journey
Dagg AI is more than just a workplace—it's a hub for those passionate about innovation and pushing the limits of what's possible. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy tackling complex challenges, and value a strong support system, we'd love to have you on board. Your contributions will be integral to shaping the future of AI at Dagg, and we look forward to growing together.
